Alaska

Alaska, a place of superlatives. The northernmost, westernmost, and largest US state, the home of North America's highest mountain peak and most of our top ten largest national parks. Alaska has dozens of active volcanoes, occasionally has extreme earthquakes, and holds thousands of icy glaciers. It is perhaps also America's most scenic location. I always wanted to eventually make one visit to Alaska. Now, I don't know how I could think one trip would be enough. Alaska is simply awe-inspiring, and the lack of roads and distances between places make it really hard to get more than a mouth-watering peak at the treasures it has to offer in one average-length vacation.
